An Analogy of a Painting : "Route 1 , Psalm 2"

In August, 2009, while driving along Route 1 , from Saint John to our home in Chamcook ,just before Sundown, over the vast , seemingly endless NB wild forest of Trees; the Sky was Awesome multiple Colors & Clouds, & driving along at 100 or so, the impulse was to try to take some photo shots with Diane's pink Sony digital out the passenger's side. There wasn't much time to get what was before us,especially considering, the hills, telephone/power poles , lines & highway signs , curves & traffic as we were clipping along. So with window down, Diane pushing back to get out of the way, hair flying as we were, I managed to get a few beautiful shots , along with others of the windshield & mirror& interior of the car & Diane.
Once home, uploaded to computer & printed off, I had what I needed to consider the painting that I thought would be called simply " Route 1 Sunset ".
Bought the largest gallery canvas I could find in St Andrews, ( 30 "x 60") ( just fits in the ECHO with the back seats forward ), and began painting my version of this NB Sunset along Route 1.

I knew that this Painting was to be a kind of focal point of my up & coming Exhibit/ Art Show to be held at Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre, St. Andrews, NB, from September 11 th thru Oct. 7 I could even see it placed in the Window ( how brazen ).
I must admit that I like the freedom feeling you get painting BIG, with wide brushes, & the paint just flying .
When I was painting the area where the Sun was just breaking thru the clouds, a FACE appeared in profile, having the hint of a crown on the head & positioned to blow on or KISS the breaking thru Sun Light brilliance. I had nothing to do with this...I know Who did. It happens a lot & I'm never at aloss of Amazement & try so very hard not to lose it as I continue to paint.
Kissing the SON , brings me immediately to Psalm 2 where Kings & Rulers & those of Power & Authority on this God Created & Sustained much Favored Planet Earth, are commanded to Serve the Lord with Fear & Trembling, & to Kiss The Son, lest He become angry & you are destroyed in your Way. IT's no stretch for me to go from Sun to Son, He is Eternal LIght/LIfe. Blessed be those who take Refuge in Him.
The one sure Route to Freedom & Life Eternal is to surrender & submit in love & adoration wholeheartedly serving God the Creator,Sustainer, Savior, Redeemer, advocate & Judge.
Thus comes the name of the painting..." Route 1, Psalm 2
